Throughout this project we worked with local partners around the state to reach out and hear from Minnesotans about barriers or disparities that may prevent them from benefiting from arts and creative experiences, and solutions to overcome them.
With partners, people around the state participated through in-person and virtual sessions, and online via surveys available in English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Karen, and Oromo. Nearly 400 people around the state shared over 2,700 ideas and thoughts to help shape the Arts Board’s new Equity Plan.
